Integrated learning is when two or more subjects come together to help a student understand information.

End of Fall 2013 Semester
1. How do you envision using art in your classroom?
I see my future teaching self incorporating Art similar to the Ideas we learned in this class; I want to have the Big Ideas and encourage my students to think beyond the "art is fun" thought and see their art making with a more critical thinking process.
2. What do you know about integrated learning / integration?
I know that integration is something that is very important. Integration is when a lesson plan has many different content areas to teach the same thing. Similar to life; students need to be taught in a way that helps them connect to multiple different mind sets.
3. Rate your comfort level in making art, and discuss.
Uneasy 1 2 3 4 5 Comfortable
After progressing through this semester in art, I am more confident now in art making. I have realized that "art" is not something that is supposed to be perfect to everyone; the person it should be perfect to is the art maker. Art can be created in a variety of ways but it is ultimately developed through the eyes of the creator.
4. Rate your comfort level in analyzing and talking about art, and discuss.
Uneasy 1 2 3 4 5 Comfortable
I am now more comfortable in analyzing and talking about art because after experiencing "VTS" i have expanded my artist vocabulary. I may not be the most intelligent art critic, but I believe that I am comfortable with it now.
